PowerPoint’s Toolbars make it easy to finish tasks with one click rather than using the more intensive option of using the menus. Although, there are so many Toolbars in PowerPoint, making them all visible all the time can make the interface look cluttered.

PowerPoint 2007 (and other programs in Office 2007) sport a new interface that contains a tabbed Ribbon instead of the usual toolbars and menus. Several tabs may be visible in the Ribbon, and your tabs might be different than the tabs.

Do you want to insert a check mark, which is also called a tick mark, in your slides? Very often, this symbol indicates a task is done, and you may want to add it as part of your regular text in text placeholders and boxes, shapes, tables, and even charts.

It really does not matter which program you are using on a Mac. Your Menu Bar remains constant irrespective of the program being used. Yes some menus do change but some such as the Apple menu are retained all the time. To activate the Menu Bar without a mouse, you can press the Ctrl + F2 key combination (or Ctrl + Fn + F2, if you use a smaller keyboard on a Mac laptop). Thereafter you access various menu options by typing their first couple of letters.

After you install PowerPoint for iPad, the next thing you want to do is run it! However, running the program for the first time is a little different and requires that you understand about creating an account, signing in, etc. And yes, you can still use the program without signing in. But in the long run, if you want to use PowerPoint to its optimum, then you must make yourself familiar with these tasks.
